A Great Day!

The days of sleeping in, no schedule, no homework and playing all day long have vanished once again.  I love summer with the kids home and all the fun activities that come along with it so it is a sad day when it all comes to an end.  As sad as it is to see them go, man it was a great day.  I went to the gym, got half my cleaning list done, made cookies, made dinner and the house stayed clean for more than one hour, I really enjoyed it! They all had a good first day so that makes it even better!  It is amazing how fast they are growing, in my opinion way too fast.

Sweet Soccer

Tyson loves soccer!  He plays on the JR High soccer team this year.  It is so fun to watch, I love my days filled with watching my kids!  He eat sleeps and breaths soccer, carries the ball all day and sleeps with it at night!  He is an excellent player!  Such fun times. #77

The RUSH

 This week was our turn!  Our first sprint triathlon, and we had a blast.  Braeden had a fall on his bike, and got some major road rash to prove it.  However he got right back up and finished the race coming in 3rd place in his age division 10-18 yr. olds, he was only one step behind the 2nd place winner.  We are so proud of him. Todd and I, well lets just say we finished!  We are horrible swimmers, need some swimming lessons before trying another one!

We are getting lots of food from our garden.  Good thing the kids like vegetables!  I can't wait for the tomatoes to ripen, my favorite!

Little Athletes

Tyson, Carson and Ashlynn competed in their first Triathlon!  It was so fun to watch they all did great.  They had lots of cousins right along side of them to help keep them motivated! Next week it is Todd, Braeden and my turn.  I think watching today made us all a little more nervous! 

August Already?

Summer is my favorite time of year.  Being outside is wonderful but it doesn't last long enough here.  We have enjoyed so many fun activities this summer but I am afraid it is coming to a close.  Carson starts football tonight Braeden next Monday and Tyson starts soccer next Thursday.  Here are a few pictures of our Summer Vacation to the Redwood Forest up the Oregon Coast and Seattle
