Hawaii

How I love Hawaii.  This made trip #8 for me to the Islands.  #5 with Todd and #2 with our Kids!!  We stayed on Oahu this time (not my favorite Island but there is lots the kids wanted to see) and we had a blast.  We stayed at the Marriott Waikiki Beach Club for the first half of the trip and then went out to the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club for the second half.  Our trip consisted of:
- Many hours at the beach
- Hiking Diamond Head
- Snorkeling
- Parasailing
- Football
-Surfing Lessons
-Pearl Harbor
- Baptisms at the Temple
- Polynesian Cultural Center
- Biking North Shore
- Watching the surfers
- Boogie Boarding
- Shopping
What a blast.  The boys loved it all.  Our day at Pearl Harbor was a fun experience.  They still have survivors that come and tell their stories.  It was so neat to be able to talk to them and take pictures with them.  The boys are so easy to travel with and are so enjoyable to be with.  We had a great week together and have so many fun memories to share!

Sterling R Cale is 91 years old He worked in the Hospital and actually saw the first Japanese planes coming in.  Thought it was a mock attack until one of the planes turned and he saw the "Rising Sun" on the wing tip.  He helped pull men from the water and was in charge of the burial party removing bodies from the USS Arizona.  What an honor to meet these men.
