Holidays are all about the traditions, at least thats what my kids tell me! We have always made our own Valentines for the kids classes at school. We have come up with some cute Valentines over the years. I wish I would have taken a picture of all of them. Our other traditions include: heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, a Valentine treat from Todd and I to the kids, opening Valentine cards from Grandma and Grandpa with $1 inside. (Grandma Kiesling started that tradition) and having heart shaped Pizza for dinner. I was thinking about changing things up this year and the kids were not ok with that. Ha ha I am glad we have traditions and fun days to look forward to. We each made a valentine for our grandparents this year. With my mom and dad being on a mission they really enjoyed getting a package of Valentines! I sure do love my family.

Super Bowl 2014
My Sister and Brother-in-law throw the best Super Bowl Party ever! Three years ago Quinn made a stadium for us to put all the food in. We all bring a few items to help fill that thing up! He also puts together a poster board where you can buy squares. Each square is 50 cents. And at the end of each quarter in the game if your name is on the square that matches the points of the game, you win some of the money from the pot. And the person who wins at the end of the game also gets to take home the trophy. It's just fun. Now for me, I don't really have an interest in the game, but my kids, they love it. The only problem is, they seem to always go for the team that loses. I just like to get together with friends and family! Thanks Quinn and Jen, we always look forward to the Super Bowl Party!!!
The Buhlers surprised us and came from Boise! So we were all almost there. We missed Rob and Nichole. Rob was at the Hospital getting a liquid dose of antibiotic for a staph infection :-( yikes.

Basketball and Cheer
I am so blessed to be the mother of 5 of the most talented, fun children. Our January was filled with basketball, cheer and more basketball and cheer! Breaden has been cheering at all the Skyline girls and boys basketball games and participated in 3 cheer competitions with his team. They qualified for Nationals, which means we get to go to Anaheim in March!! Tyson has been playing Freshman basketball for Skyline. They haven't won a ton of games, but Tyson works so hard in every game and has gotten tons of playing time. Carson is playing on two different basketball teams. They win some and lose some, but he LOVES basketball. The girls got to be cheerleaders and cheer at half time this week. They also started tumbling and really enjoy that. I am so glad January is over (it is such a long month for me) but I am more thankful I have my kids who participate in so many good activities to help keep me busy!
