Christmas

Merry Christmas!  I just love this season.  I love shopping, baking, giving gifts, driving around to see all the amazing lights, being with family, decorating gingerbread houses, surprises, the 12 Days of Christmas and wrapping presents. I love that we get to celebrate the Saviors birth and for all the magic that fills the air this time of year, I love sharing and giving to those less fortunate than I.  I love the stories, the music and the hours my kids have spent on the piano playing their Christmas music.  I love being so excited to see the smiles on my kids faces that I can't sleep!  And did I mention that I love wrapping gifts?  We hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas!

Disneyland

So Grandma and Grandpa started taking all the Grandkids to Disneyland a couple years ago.  All the older kids have been and Analee is now old enough it was her turn to go with Logan and Brenna and I got to go along for the ride!  I have never been during Christmas so it was fun to see all the decorations.  The little kids were so brave and went on all the BIG rides.  If you ask them their favorite they would say Tower of Terror.  It didn't take them long to know which rides had the pictures and when they took them.  We started posing for them.  It was so funny to see two little kids posing on the rides, we acted scared, bored, asleep and did thumbs up.  It rained the first day we were there (this was a first for me also) so after we got soaked we did a Walmart run and bought rain boots and warmer clothes.  It was perfect there was absolutely nobody in the parks and we were dry and warm.  We ate good food, shopped and had a great time.

It's Halloween! Tyson Carson and Ashlynn found these stick figure costumes.  They are so cool and look awesome when it is dark, you have to watch the video. (it looks black at first but you will see it)  Analee loves ladybugs (she was catching them all summer) so we had to get a ladybug costume for her.  It will be a fun night trick or treating!

It's Already Over?

The fall sports have come and almost gone.  Tyson's soccer team came in 2nd place overall!  Carson's team lost in the semi finals by one point and one second left on the clock. (I am still losing sleep over this one) And Braeden has one game left this week.  It is so sad they are over, but never fear winter sports have already started!  Braeden will try out for the basketball team in a couple weeks, Tyson has started indoor soccer and Carson is on a travel/competitive basketball team and his football team is also going to play in the Boarders Tournament in SLC in November!  
I always take my camera and video camera to the games in hopes of catching something good but 99% of the time I miss it.  This last week Braeden's team was playing Rigby and I got the interception/ score that he made!  It was so cool.  They won the game by 7 points!  Hopefully I will get more on camera!

The days of sleeping in, no schedule, no homework and playing all day long have vanished once again.  I love summer with the kids home and all the fun activities that come along with it so it is a sad day when it all comes to an end.  As sad as it is to see them go, man it was a great day.  I went to the gym, got half my cleaning list done, made cookies, made dinner and the house stayed clean for more than one hour, I really enjoyed it! They all had a good first day so that makes it even better!  It is amazing how fast they are growing, in my opinion way too fast.

Sweet Soccer

Tyson loves soccer!  He plays on the JR High soccer team this year.  It is so fun to watch, I love my days filled with watching my kids!  He eat sleeps and breaths soccer, carries the ball all day and sleeps with it at night!  He is an excellent player!  Such fun times. #77

The RUSH

 This week was our turn!  Our first sprint triathlon, and we had a blast.  Braeden had a fall on his bike, and got some major road rash to prove it.  However he got right back up and finished the race coming in 3rd place in his age division 10-18 yr. olds, he was only one step behind the 2nd place winner.  We are so proud of him. Todd and I, well lets just say we finished!  We are horrible swimmers, need some swimming lessons before trying another one!

We are getting lots of food from our garden.  Good thing the kids like vegetables!  I can't wait for the tomatoes to ripen, my favorite!

Little Athletes

Tyson, Carson and Ashlynn competed in their first Triathlon!  It was so fun to watch they all did great.  They had lots of cousins right along side of them to help keep them motivated! Next week it is Todd, Braeden and my turn.  I think watching today made us all a little more nervous! 

August Already?

Summer is my favorite time of year.  Being outside is wonderful but it doesn't last long enough here.  We have enjoyed so many fun activities this summer but I am afraid it is coming to a close.  Carson starts football tonight Braeden next Monday and Tyson starts soccer next Thursday.  Here are a few pictures of our Summer Vacation to the Redwood Forest up the Oregon Coast and Seattle
